If you act by May 28th, you can sign up for the following Teacher Events on a first-come, first-served basis. To secure a spot, print out a  permission slip (copies are also available in the office), fill it out, and return it to school with your payment.
 
631.      TEACHERS vs. STUDENTS HOCKEY GAME- $15
On Thursday, May 31st, 10 fourth- and fifth-graders will challenge Mrs. Davenport, Balboa teachers and TAs to a game of hockey from 8:30-9:30 am. Open to students in grades 4-5.
 
633.      GAME TIME!- $15
Sixteen lucky students will play games with the third-grade teachers in Room 19 from 3-5 pm on Friday, June 1. Delicious ice cream sundaes will be served. Open to students in all grades.
 
643.      BOOT CAMP AND PIZZA!- $15
Sergeant Angela Bronson will workout 10 kids on campus onSaturday, June 18th, from 10:30 am to 1 pm.  The reward will be a pizza lunch!  Parents must pick their kids up promptly at 1 pm.  Open to students in all grades. 
 
640.      SPARKS BASKETBALL – $30
Ms. Hooper, Ms. Felix, Ms. Bronson, Ms. Mary and Ms. Lauren will take nine students to the Los Angeles Sparks game against the Phoenix Mercury on Friday, June 8th. Participants will leave school at 3:30 pm, get something to eat, and then go to the Staples Center for the game. The group will return to Balboa at 10:30 pm.  Open to students in grades 3-5.
 
In order for Teacher Events to be fun for everyone, adherence to the Balboa code of conduct is essential.  In the event that a student does not behave during an off-campus event, parents will be called to pick up their child and the student may lose the privilege of attending subsequent events.  Misbehavior during on-campus events may result in dismissal to the playground.
There are no refunds.
