Star Nova registration now open for Session 4!

The final Nova session runs April 2nd through May 30th. We will be continuing our Minecraft Mondays and Chess Tuesdays, as well as the LEGO Idea Lab: Roads, Rails, And Lego Tales on Thursdays!
As a reminder, if your child is currently attending, you must register for the next session to continue attending after session 3 ends this week.
Registration is already open at starinc.org. Please see the flyer below for full dates and details. Registration closes Friday the 22nd at 6pm!"

UPCOMING CAMPS:
Over spring break, STAR will be offering camps at our Eco Station rescue zoo as well as Marquez Elementary. In the past, STAR has also had a summer camp at Kester Elementary, and while this is not yet confirmed for 2024, it will likely also be a registered summer site. Please visit starinc.org to register, and see the attached flyers for more details!

SPRING BREAK:
  • What: STAR program for LAUSD breaks
  • Where: Marquez Charter School, 16821 Marquez Ave, Pacific Palisades, CA 90272 OR Eco Station Rescue Zoo, 10101 Jefferson Blvd, Culver City, CA 90232
  • When: March 25th-29th, 9:00am-3:00pm. Extended hours available from 8-9am and 3-6pm.
  • Who: Contact [email protected] or call/text (424) 326-2346 for more specific questions. Site director Jenna is wonderful. For Eco Station call (310) 842-8060.

SUMMER:
  • What: STAR program for LAUSD breaks

  • When: Variety of dates and specialty camps, 9:00am-3:00pm. Extended hours available from 8-9am and 3-6pm.

**Potential for Kester summer program as well. Same hours, located at 5353 Kester Ave, Sherman Oaks, CA 91411. Check back at starinc.org for location availability.

FAQS:
  • The camps are open for anyone. They do not have to attend the school the camp is at or attend any STAR programs during the school year. It’s an open camp for the community!
  • Post-lockdown, newer families often don’t know about the STAR camps, so it’s also very helpful to spread the word!
  • There will not be a program like this held at the Balboa campus this school year or summer.

BTB ELOP Program

Our new after-school program facilitated by BTB and STAR is now full! Stay tuned for next year.


Beyond the Bell

LAUSD also offers free services through its Beyond the Bell Program.

Beyond the Bell promotes partnerships between schools and communities that provide safe and exciting learning, health, social services, cultural and recreational programs after school.
