Become a Host Family and Welcome New Students to Balboa

This August, Balboa Magnet will open its doors to 170 brand-new students! We want YOU to help make these new pupils and their families feel welcome at our school. Do you remember when your child entered Balboa Magnet? You were probably overjoyed, but you also had many questions. That is where our Balboa Host Families come in!

What is a Host Family and what do they do?

A Host Family is a current Balboa Magnet family who wishes to reach out to our new students and their parents. If you sign up, you will be sent a list of a few people to contact this July. You can call or email them to introduce them to our school. You will let them know about events that will be happening in the fall as well as direct them to our Balboa Spirit Club website. We especially encourage those of you who speak more than one language to help us as we reach out to our new families.
